Sardine Product Updates: November 2025

Throughout November, Sardine launched a few major upgrades to help make the job of an investigator easier and more streamlined. With feature updates around OSINT enrichment, compliance accuracy, document verification, merchant risk analysis, and workflow intelligence, it’s now easier than ever to gain a complete view of risk.

The highlights:

  • Contextual risk intelligence: Updates like new OSINT enrichment and device-level signals in DocKYC give risk teams a fuller, more actionable picture of risk.
  • Scalable compliance coverage: With improvements to 314(a) risk tiering, business AML screening, and business-currency normalization, your team can reduce false positives and operational noise, all while strengthening sanctions and AML accuracy.
  • Faster, smarter investigations: Features such as dynamic rule conditions and cross-queue alert assignments help teams streamline review processes and work more efficiently.

Richer, more contextual risk intelligence in a single view

Trigger rules based on device information during document verification

Device intelligence is now integrated into our DocKYC solution, allowing you to incorporate deepfake detection, true location, and device-risk data directly into document verification flows.

In the Rule Builder, select the DocKYC checkpoint and choose from the new device-based conditions. This will significantly strengthen security and accuracy during onboarding and step-up verification.

Gain instant context with new Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Agent

Financial crime investigations typically require analysts to switch between external tools to verify PII or find contextual intelligence. Now with Sardine’s new contextual OSINT Agent,  you can securely and compliantly gather open source enrichment directly into the dashboard.

Analysts can now retrieve OSINT insights from both the Session Details and Customer Profile pages, without switching tabs or copying data into third-party tools. For example, by providing an entity’s phone number, the OSINT Agent will search the web for all related information linked to that phone number, such as addresses or emails. This means faster, more informed decisions and a much smoother investigation workflow.

Visualize direct links between business entities and associated customer IDs

The Connections Graph now visualizes relationships between business entities and their associated Customer IDs, allowing for deeper merchant investigation. Now analysts can trace shared devices, IPs, or accounts so they can identify hidden networks, shared users, and overlapping risk profiles between businesses and individuals, all within a single graph.

Expanded international eKYC coverage

Sardine has expanded eKYC coverage with new vendor integrations, bringing total coverage to 54 countries. Responses now use a more consistent, normalized eKYC model and introduce an S3 data source for improved clarity. Newly added markets include:

  • El Salvador
  • Gibraltar
  • Honduras
  • Hungary
  • Lithuania
  • Luxembourg
  • Peru
  • Portugal
  • Romania

More precise, scalable compliance and AML coverage

BIC screening for transactions

Sardine now supports AML screening based on SWIFT/BIC codes. This will close an important gap in sanctions checks and provide more comprehensive compliance coverage.

Focus on true matches with smart 314(a) alert matching

We have improved logic around 314(a) alerts so we can apply proper risk level assessment based on various identity elements, resulting in highly accurate true positive matches that require escalation.

Normalizing base-currency across transaction tables

Analyzing multi-currency transactions often requires manual conversions or separate reports. To streamline this, Sardine now displays an Amount (<base_currency>) column across transaction tables, automatically converting each transaction into your organization’s configured base currency. This setting is applied at the account level so every analyst can work from the same consistent financial view.

With normalized amounts visible throughout the dashboard, teams can more easily understand total exposure, compare transactions side-by-side, and rely on more accurate totals and aggregates, all without exporting data or switching tools. Organizations using non-USD base currencies, such as EUR or GBP, will especially benefit from clearer cross-border analysis and more reliable reporting across BI, Acquiring, Issuing, Case Management, Session Details, and more.

New data centers in Canada, India, and Australia

To help support growth and data residency requirements, Sardine has launched three fully isolated data centers in Canada, India, and Australia. Documentation for these environments is available in Sardine’s integration guide.

Faster, smarter operations for fraud and compliance teams

Dynamic rule conditions in Workflows

Workflows can now assign values to custom fields in real time for more adaptive, data-driven decisioning.

This allows for:

  • Dynamic thresholding, such as purchase limits
  • Seamless interaction between decision tables, custom fields, and checkpoints
  • Fewer duplicated rules and cleaner logic

This is a major upgrade for customers building highly flexible, conditional automation flows.

Assign all unresolved alerts with a single action

Analysts can now assign all unresolved alerts for a given customer or business, across all queues, with a single action.

This enhancement significantly improves operational efficiency for Compliance Operations teams by reducing duplicated work and centralizing analyst review across queues.

Advancing global risk intelligence with Sardine

We’re constantly investing in ways to improve our suite of identity, fraud, and compliance solutions to improve accuracy and analyst efficiency. From OSINT enrichment to global eKYC expansion and workflow automation, this month’s improvements give your team deeper context, better visibility, and more responsive controls.
