Christine Poulon

Christine Poulon is General Counsel and Head of Compliance at Sardine. She leads the company's legal and compliance functions, advising the business on regulatory and legal risk as it grows.

She is an experienced legal counsel and business partner with extensive hands-on experience advising start-up, mid-size, and large companies, with a focus on fintech. She has an in-depth understanding of financial products and product development, and is known for balancing risk and benefit to give legal advice that supports company growth while keeping legal risk at acceptable levels. Christine has led and worked with multi-disciplinary teams spanning marketing, operations, risk, compliance, project managers, bank partners, and outside counsel, and has a history of building strong, trust-based relationships with business partners.

Before Sardine, she was Head of Legal, Compliance and Risk at MAJORITY, co-founded and served as General Counsel of blispay, which was acquired by Alliance Data Card Services in 2019, and spent eight years as Director, Legal Counsel at PayPal.
