Sardine Product Updates: August 2025

This month’s updates are built to help your team move faster, reduce manual overhead, and act more confidently across fraud and compliance operations. From customizable dashboards to proactive integration alerts and enhanced screening clarity, these features deliver more control where it counts.

Enhanced clarity for Sanctions, PEP, and Adverse Media results

Screening results should be easy to interpret and act on. When results are too vague, analysts spend extra time reviewing alerts that don’t need escalation.

We’ve introduced a new No Match result to help teams confidently distinguish between low-risk matches and cases where there is truly nothing to review. This reduces unnecessary alert handling and keeps the queue focused on relevant hits.

We’ve also updated match scores to display on a 0 to 100 scale, with a new tooltip that explains how the score is calculated. This gives reviewers faster context during triage and makes it easier to explain decisions during audits or policy reviews.

User Groups for streamlined access management

Managing user permissions at scale can be slow and error-prone. With our new User Groups functionality, you can now create role-based access groups and assign users in bulk.

This lets you restrict access to sensitive workflows like queues, comments, and cases while reducing the risk of manual misconfiguration. Group assignments simplify admin work and improve consistency across large or distributed teams.

With a more centralized model, permissions are easier to maintain and better aligned with your organizational structure.

Improved identity verification through broader coverage

When identity checks return weak or inconclusive results, onboarding slows and manual reviews increase. To improve match rates, we’ve upgraded our Customer Identification Program (CIP) engine.

CIP now runs parallel checks across multiple eKYC vendors, increasing coverage and reducing false negatives. This gives your team a more complete identity signal earlier in the process and improves your ability to approve legitimate users with less friction.

Customizable view of Session Details

Investigation workflows vary by team and use case. A fixed dashboard layout can slow analysts down, forcing them to scroll past irrelevant data to get to what they need.

You can now customize the Session Details view to match your workflow.

  • Reorder widgets to surface the most relevant data
  • Hide fields that don’t apply to your queue
  • Save and apply layouts across specific session types

This gives analysts a more focused view of each case, speeds up triage, and helps maintain consistency across reviews.

Real-time notifications and changelog

Misconfigurations and delivery failures can introduce blind spots, especially when issues go unnoticed. We’ve introduced new real-time notifications to help you catch problems before they affect downstream workflows.

  • Dashboard alerts now highlight potential integration issues as soon as they are detected.
  • Email notifications are sent when webhook deliveries are failing after multiple retries.

We’ve also added a new API Changelog to the Tech Docs. This provides a complete, timestamped history of all API changes, making it easier for developers to track updates, plan migrations, and troubleshoot when something breaks.

Each of these features is built to help your team improve efficiency, reduce false positives, and respond faster when something breaks.
