CEO
Soups Ranjan is the CEO and Co-Founder of Sardine, the leading agentic risk platform to fight financial crime. Before founding Sardine, he was Head of Financial Crime at Revolut, where he built the fraud and compliance stack from scratch, and Head of Risk at Coinbase, where he built the ML-based fraud and identity systems that prevented attacks and scams as the platform safely scaled 1000x.
With over 20 years of experience applying machine learning to fraud, Soups built Sardine as an end-to-end platform that brings fraud and AML data into one place, so organizations can stay ahead of modern attacks and run risk operations more effectively. Today, Sardine serves over 450 global enterprises and financial institutions, and is backed from world-class investors like Andreessen Horowitz, FIS, Visa, Experian, FIS, Google, and Activant Capital.
Soups holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University, where his thesis focused on scaling web services to handle cyber threats and Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks.
